International Data Roaming
Designed and implemented a data roaming proposition with superb self-serve capabilities.
The product needed to reflect the client's technical expectations, the market was vast and customers would be spread out across the global, online and self-service was the viable option, every activity would leverage technology and this need to perform 24 hours a day.
The Ghost Telecom team were developers and marketeers at heart but needed operational and process know-how to construct their solution, we set about defining the proposition CRM/BSS and Online Store to fully integrate with their MVNE partner via a suite of custom APIs and offer them full control over their subscribers while creating a customer journey built on the delivery of effective automated ordering, distribution and activation capabilities.
This was a global data product and customers would be across many different time-zones and being an online proposition needed to offer a service that worked out of the box with little physical support and required extensive self-serve capabilities, allowing customers to manage their accounts online with providing extensive MI and reporting capabilities to the FooConnect team.
The proposition required: Creativity, Negotiation, Specification, Project Planning / Management, Process Design, User Interface Design, System Integration (internal & external), Fraud Risk Management.
Background: Ghost Telecom, (the company behind the successful OTT calling app 'FooCall') wanted to launch a global data roaming product. Their team were highly skilled in development and the app space but had little exposure to the MVNO space.
